Job Description Family Support Worker
Salary: £28,000
Location: Stunning residential Family Assessment Centre with 8 self-contained apartments
Hours: 13 shifts over a 4-week rota (6 nights / 7 days, includes every other weekend)
Shift Times: Days - 8:00am to 8:30pm | Nights - 8:00pm to 8:30am
Important Requirement
This role requires a access to your own vehicle , as the service is based in a remote rural location with limited public transport.
About the Service
This is a specialist Family Assessment Centre in Worcestershire. The service adopts a strength based therapeutic approach with the aim of empowering parents to safely care for their children in the long term. The service believes that, with the right support, everyone is capable of change and everyone deserves the opportunity to make those changes. The aim is to provide robust, fair and evidenced based assessments with the child's welfare and safety at the centre of all decision making.
Family Support Workers work a shift pattern which includes day and night shifts, each shift is 12.5 hrs. Family Support Workers will support and observe parent's interactions with their children and provide feedback in a sensitive, non-judgmental manner.
