Bolton Council is seeking dedicated and motivated Family Support Workers to join our Safeguarding Team. In this role, you will work closely alongside Safeguarding Social Workers to deliver high-quality interventions to children and families, supporting them to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising and supporting family time

Supporting Social Workers with home visits

Undertaking direct work with children

Working with families on behaviour management strategies, routines, and boundaries

Supporting families with budgeting and signposting/referring to appropriate support services

You will be working with families subject to Child in Need, Child Protection Plans, and court proceedings, requiring resilience, professionalism, and a child-centred approach.

This is a partly office-based role, and candidates must be able to travel to Bolton at short notice to meet service needs. A valid driving licence is essential.

References will be required for any candidate offered an interview, and a DBS will be undertaken prior to appointment.
