Field Engineer Planner
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 per week
Location: Warwick (Hybrid)
Salary: £28,193
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts
Shifts: Mon-Fri: 07:30-16:30, 08:00-17:00, 09:00-18:00, 10:00-19:00; Sat: 08:30-14:00 (1 in 3 rotation). Saturday shifts are adjusted to maintain 40 hours. Flexibility is essential.
Role Summary: Responsible for optimizing daily schedules for a field engineer workforce to meet service levels and customer expectations. Acts as a key contact for engineers and team managers, supporting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximize engineer utilization and reduce travel time.
- Manage same-day planning and job prioritization.
- Coordinate follow-up visits and parts ordering.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
- Monitor job progress and resolve scheduling issues.
- Adapt to daily challenges and ensure resource efficiency.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience with scheduling/planning systems.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Calm under pressure with a proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and PC skills (Word, Excel).
- Focused on continuous improvement and team support.
