There may be times where you will also work off patch and will require overnight staysJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Field Service Engineer with proven experience in CCTV, access control and electronic security systems.As a Field Service Engineer you will carry out fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across large-scale, integrated security systems within public space, transport and infrastructure environments.The Field Service Engineer role is field based, covering sites across the region with occasional overnight stays. Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the Field Service Engineer include:Fault Finding and Repairs: Diagnose and repair analogue and digital CCTV, DVR and NVR systems across multi-site environmentsPlanned Preventative Maintenance: Complete PPM schedules to maintain system performance and complianceAccess Control Support: Maintain and repair access control systems including site mustering solutionsPerimeter Detection Systems: Support and maintain PID systems and associated security technologiesControl Room Systems: Provide maintenance and repair of managed and functional control room systemsHelpdesk Updates: Accurately update and close calls via the helpdesk following each service visitCustomer Service Delivery: Maintain professional standards of communication and presentation at all timesVehicle Responsibility: Ensure any company vehicle is kept in safe and good working orderOn-Call Support: Participate in the call out rota and provide out-of-hours reactive support as requiredCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSESSENTIALPrevious experience in CCTV systems, including analogue and digital platformsExperience with access control systems and site musteringProven experience of fault finding, on-site repair and maintenance within electronic security environmentsSound knowledge of DVR, NVR and IP-based systemsExperience with networks and integrated security systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approachConfident completing documentation and using helpdesk systemsFlexible approach to travel, working off patch and occasional overnight staysExcellent communication skills and customer-focused approachEligibility to live and work in the UKDESIRABLEExperience with perimeter intrusion detection systems (PID)Knowledge of Galaxy alarms, CEM access control, Cortech GUI, Synergy or video matrix systemsExperience with RAID recording systemsFirst line repair experience on gates and barriersOur Commitment to Equality and DiversityOur Commitment to Equality and DiversitySynectics plc and its subsidiaries are committed to promoting equal opportunities in employment and in our employment policies for recruitment, selection, training, development, and promotion.
