Field Service Engineer\n\nLocation: Field based (UK & International Travel) Along the M4 Corridor - Coventry - Birmingham - London - to all over the UK. Head office in Sheffield. \n\nThe Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and commissioning of electrical equipment at customer sites throughout the UK. This role ensures equipment is safe, reliable, and performing to the required technical standards, while delivering excellent customer service.\n\nKey Responsibilities of this Field Service Engineer Role:\n\nProvide frontline technical support to customers, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and professionally.\nInvestigate equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions.\nConduct inspections and testing throughout all stages of work, ensuring equipment is safe and fully operational before handover.\nProduce clear work documentation, including risk assessments and method statements for all tasks.\nCarry out site surveys to gather technical information for reporting, quoting, and project planning.\nWork closely with the Service Manager when assigned to overseas or complex service projects.\nSupport other service engineers by sharing technical knowledge and assisting with more complex tasks.\nPerform scheduled servicing, repairs, and product upgrades in line with technical specifications and service procedures.\nWork safely in environments that may involve electrical hazards, ensuring all work meets safety regulations.\nAct as the primary point of contact for customers while on-site, ensuring they are updated throughout the job.\nFollow all company procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.\nUphold company values and contribute positively to team culture.\nComplete any other reasonable duties required to support the service function.Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications needed for this Field Service Engineer role:\n\nStrong knowledge of high voltage electrical distribution/supply systems with proven fault finding and repair ability.\nExperience with switchgears. \nExperience working with electrical capital equipment, including installation, commissioning, and design principles.\nQualified or willing to train to work in hazardous or controlled electrical environments.\nAbility to read and work from technical data, diagrams, and engineering documentation with excellent attention to detail.\nCapable of working independently, managing workloads, and delivering work accurately to agreed plans.\nStrong problem solving skills with a right first time approach.\nCustomer focused attitude with good communication and commercial awareness. \n\nSalary & Benefits:\n\nBase salary: Up to £45,000- DOE\nOvertime: Up to circa 20,000 additional earnings plus benefitsClick Apply, or contact Jamie Garcia - Courtice (Orion Electrotech, Aylesbury) for more info: (url removed)\n\nRef: INDMAN\n\n Thank you for your application.
