Field Service Engineer\n\nHertfordshire\n\n£43,000 – £48,000 + overtime\n Full time, permanent\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for to join a growing engineering business supporting customers across healthcare, pharmaceutical and industrial environments. The Field Service Engineer will be supporting healthcare, life sciences and pharmaceutical customers. You’ll be working on clean air and containment equipment that directly supports hospitals and other critical environments.
You’ll be working on specialist equipment, carrying out service, maintenance, commissioning and validation work.\n\nThe Business\n\nWork on specialist clean air and containment equipment that directly supports hospitals, healthcare and life sciences environments\nJoin a well-established and growing engineering business with long term stability and continued investment\nRealistic regional travel with jobs planned in advance and minimal overnight stays\nExcellent training and development including structured onboarding, factory training and funded P601 qualification\nDoor to door overtime with enhanced weekend rates\nThe Role\n\nAs a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:\n\n• Servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing specialist engineering equipment\n • Electrical fault finding and diagnostics on control systems\n • Carrying out validation and compliance testing to industry standards\n • Completing service reports and technical documentation accurately\n • Working directly with customers on site and representing the business professionally\n • Supporting installation and project teams where required\n\nYou will work on equipment including:\n\n• Microbiological safety cabinets\n • Horizontal and vertical laminar flow cabinets\n • Positive and negative pressure isolators\n • Glove boxes and powder control booths\n • Fume cupboards and air showers\n • Clean rooms and containment suites\n • Air handling systems and controls\n • Operating theatres and transportable sterile suites\n\nYour day to day will involve:\n\n• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs\n • Pressure decay testing and installations\n • Commissioning and validation work\n • Completing service documentation and reports\n • Building strong working relationships with repeat customers\n • Working independently on most jobs, with 2 to 3 engineer teams on larger projects\n\nRequirements of the Field Service Engineer:\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:\n\nMechanical or Electrical qualifications such as HNC, HND, NVQ or BTEC\nA solid electrical or electromechanical engineering background\nStrong fault finding and problem-solving skills\nAt least 2 years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer within regulated environments such as healthcare, pharmaceutical or cleanrooms\nA full UK driving licence\nFlexibility to travel, including occasional out of hours customer visits (paid at enhanced overtime rates)\nHighly desirable experience includes:\n\nISO 9001 quality systems or GMP environments\nMaintaining or certifying equipment to BS EN 12469, ISO 14644, HTM 03-01 or P601 standards\nPLC based control systems\nIEE 18th Edition\nValidation procedures including IQ and OQ\nControl and instrumentation systems\nCalibration systems\nLaboratory or biomedical equipment\nIf you thrive in regulated, high specification environments and are looking for a well-supported field service role with strong training and overtime structure, I’d love to speak with you.\n\nFind out more about this opportunity or discuss how I can help you further your career.\n\nPlease contact Adele Lewis or click Apply Now\n (phone number removed) or (phone number removed)
