You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of specialist municipal and civil assets, supporting customers who deliver essential services every day.
From planned maintenance to reactive call outs, your work will keep communities moving, clean, and operational.
Service, diagnose, and repair Dawsongroup EMC owned assets including road sweepers, tankers, grabs, RCVs, tippers, forklifts, and specialist vehicles Attend breakdowns and service calls efficiently to minimise downtime for customers Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults Complete PMI inspections and ensure accurate electronic job records via PDA Manage your own workload, time, and vehicle stock effectively About You You are practical, solutions focused, and comfortable working independently.
Whether your background is municipal, plant, HGV, or industrial equipment, we are interested in transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
Level 2 mechanical or engineering qualification or equivalent hands on experience Full UK driving licence Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Confidence diagnosing diesel engines and electrical faults Comfortable using diagnostic tools and technology Class 2 HGV licence is useful but not essential If you do not meet every requirement listed, please still apply.
