Permanent | £30,000£34,000 | 40 hours per week | A First Time Fix Bonus Scheme!

Location:Sevenoaks and surrounding area (also covering Guildford, Horsham, & Canterbury)

The Opportunity
Were supporting a market leader in intelligent parking solutions as they grow their Field Service Engineer team!
The company have their own bespoke parking systems; designed, built, and manufactured in the UK!
Systems youll be working on: Ticket Kiosks, Barrier Systems, and the latest Ai ANPR/CCTV Camera technology!
Full product training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong networking and minor electrical skills who wants to develop in a specialist, future-focused industry.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
  • Carry out repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance on parking and access control systems
  • Support installation and upgrade projects when required
  • Diagnose electrical, networking, and software-related faults
  • Configure system software, update firmware, and perform basic application-level troubleshooting
  • Work independently, managing your own schedule coveringGuildford, Horsham, & Canterbury
  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused service at all times

Experience Required for Field Service Engineer
You must have experience in a field-based service, maintenance, or service role, ideally involving one or more of the following:
  • ATM or payment systems
  • Networking / Wi-Fi equipment
  • CCTV / ANPR cameras
  • Access control or security systems
  • Ticket kiosks / machines
  • Intercom systems
  • EPOS/ PED/ SSCO equipment
  • Software-driven or PC-based hardware systems

Field Service Engineer Skills & Competencies
  • Basic electrical knowledge DESIRABLE
  • Strong networking fault-finding ability
  • Confident working with hardware, cabling, andPC systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues, install updates, and configure system settings
  • Comfortable using diagnostic tools, remote support software, and system interfaces
  • Able to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach
  • Comfortable travelling and working independently

ESSENTIAL Requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong networking, PC technology (software & hardware) and smart device experience
  • Basic Electricalexperience
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
  • Strong written and verbal English

DESIRABLE Requirements
  • Recognised qualification in electrical engineering (ECS card / 18th edition / PAT testing etc.)
  • Recognised qualification in network engineering (CompTIA, Cisco, HND in Computing etc.)
