Are you a skilled Field Service Engineer with experience servicing diesel engines and commissioning Flybrid, Hybrid, or Sync packages? Our client, based near Walsall, is looking for a dedicated professional to join their growing team, delivering on-site engineering services to meet the highest standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Working hours: 08:0016:30 MonThu, finish 15:30 Fri
  • Paid door-to-door travel when field based

The Role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:

  • Carry out planned services and maintenance of company equipment
  • Fault find and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues accurately
  • Identify and use specialist equipment and connectors as required
  • Set up equipment per contract customer and manufacturer specifications
  • Modify generator fleet as instructed by the Technical Manager
  • Attend equipment breakdowns and participate in the on-call rota
  • Support team development through training and adherence to management systems (Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality)
  • Handle ad hoc technical duties as needed

The Candidate:
The ideal Field Service Engineer will have:

  • Experience repairing diesel engines and mechanical/electrical systems
  • Knowledge of electronic systems and mechanical components (including engines and alternators)
  • Flybrid, Hybrid, or Sync package commissioning experience
  • Deep Sea knowledge and synchronising experience
  • Excellent IT and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Confident, professional, and customer-focused
  • AVR experience advantageous but not essential
