Competitive Salary DOE Location: Field-based across South West and South Wales Role Purpose To service, repair, and maintain plant and machinery equipment to manufacturer specifications, ensuring machine reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role is field-based and requires technical autonomy, strong diagnostic capability, and a customer-first mindset. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and mechanical faults Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic software and the companys service management tablet system Complete detailed service reports with supporting photographs and accurate time logs Identify additional service opportunities and proactively highlight machine defects (with financial incentives for leads) Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Represent the company professionally and build strong customer relationships Participate in ongoing training and development through in-house technical training Support strategic growth by delivering a consistently high standard of service aligned with company values Core Competencies Technical Expertise: Skilled in fault diagnosis and repair across plant electrics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems Customer Orientation: Builds trust, communicates clearly, and delivers service that meets or exceeds expectations Problem Solving: Diagnoses issues efficiently and applies logical, effective solutions Autonomy & Accountability: Manages own workload, prioritises tasks, and takes ownership of outcomes Communication: Provides clear updates to customers and internal teams; documents work thoroughly Adaptability: Responds flexibly to changing site conditions and customer requirements Safety Awareness: Adheres to safety protocols and proactively xehkeey identifies risks IT Literacy: Confident using diagnostic software, tablets, and digital reporting tools Qualifications & Experience NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Engineering or equivalent (City & Guilds, SVQ) Experience working with construction or agricultural machinery Valid UK driving licence Previous field service experience desirable Behavioural Traits Independent and confident Detail-oriented and proactive Professional and approachable Committed to continuous improvement Please apply with your CV via the apply button.
