Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (OTE £45,000+ with overtime & callouts)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

The Role

As a Mobile Agricultural Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery and supporting plant equipment. You’ll work on everything from tractors, telehandlers and balers to combines, sprayers, implements and on‑farm excavators.

This is a varied role with a strong focus on field-based diagnostics, supporting farms across Wales to minimise downtime and keep machinery running during peak seasons.

Your key responsibilities include:

Responding to urgent on‑farm breakdowns and carrying out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs
Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on agricultural machinery
Diagnosing faults across engines, hydraulics, CANbus, PTO systems, transmissions and electrics
Repairing and maintaining implements such as mowers, cultivators, trailers, balers and spreaders
Completing service sheets, inspection forms and accurate maintenance reports
Supporting workshop repairs including rebuilds, overhauls and pre-season machinery preparation
Attending farm sites across Wales as part of the mobile service team

What We’re Looking For

Background as an Agricultural Engineer, Agricultural Fitter, Farm Machinery Technician or similar
Strong understanding of agricultural machinery systems including hydraulics, diesel xbpsjku engines and electrical diagnostics
Experience working with tractors, telehandlers, combines or modern ag‑tech systems
Relevant industry qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship or equivalent)
Ability to work independently on both mobile and workshop-based engineering tasks
Full UK Driving Licence
