Field Service Engineer – Food Production Equipment
Milton Keynes
Are you a technically skilled, customer-focused engineer looking for a role with variety and autonomy? This opportunity involves field-based service work across food production equipment, supporting customers with installation, maintenance, repair, and training.
What You’ll Do
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality support across a range of equipment and technology, including:
Servicing and installing food production machinery (e.g., slicers, mincers, packaging-related equipment) and associated software
Carrying out repairs on retail scales where required
Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and network-related faults
Delivering training to customers on equipment use and maintenance
Managing spare-parts stock effectively to support efficient repairs
Maintaining a professional approach when working directly with customers
Keeping your company vehicle, tools, and equipment (e.g., hand tools, laptops, ladders) in excellent condition
Ensuring all Health & Safety and quality-related procedures are followed
Maintaining calibrated weights and meeting legal standards during calibration and verification
Completing detailed reports, documentation, and administrative tasks to required standards
Attending relevant training and keeping all certifications up to date
Participating in out-of-hours work, overnight stays, rollout activities, or refits when needed
Visiting head office and supporting ad-hoc tasks as required by management
