Field Service Engineer

Location: North West England (Home Based)

Reports To: Service Manager



Home-based Field Service Engineer supporting paper manufacturing customers across the North West. Part of the Northern Service Team, providing 24/7 technical support for QCS and DCS systems. This role combines hands-on field service, customer support, and preventative and corrective maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Service Agreement scope, including preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Support, configure, calibrate, modify, and troubleshoot QCS/DCS equipment
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support, including out-of-hours assistance
  • Participate in 1 week in 3 on-call rota
  • Build strong working relationships with production and engineering teams
  • Advise customers on maintenance, operational methods, process measurement, and control
  • Travel across the UK as required
  • Prepare technical reports using ServicePro and other reporting tools


Qualifications

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical or Measurement & Control Engineering (essential)
  • Clean UK driving licence (essential)
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Strong customer focus and networking skills
  • Results-oriented with good commercial awareness
  • Knowledge of the paper industry (desirable)
  • Experience with QCS or DCS systems (desirable)
