Location: South Birmingham
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000
Contract: Permanenet / Full Time

About the Role

Our client, a well‑established and growing organisation, is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career within a dynamic business where progression and professional development are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements
Assisting with sales ledger duties, including raising invoices and allocating payments
Supporting month‑end activities such as journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Managing expenses and petty cash
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies
Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders
Performing general administrative tasks to support the finance function

Skills and Requirements:

Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role (desirable)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A positive, proactive approach and willingness to learn
Studying or interested in studying AAT
