Finance Assistant - Sutton Coldfield

£28,000 - £32,000 DOE | Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 | Permanent Role
Are you an experienced Finance Assistant looking for a stable, long-term opportunity within a supportive and growing business?
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run company based in the Sutton Coldfield area. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join the business and directly support the Finance Manager.

Monday to Friday working hours (09:00 - 17:00)

Key Duties

Prepare payroll inputs for employees and directors

Assist with PAYE/NIC, pensions and SSP

Maintain payroll records and resolve pay queries

Support UK and Export month-end procedures

Assist with bank account management, including foreign currency accounts

Reconcile the cashbook regularly

Assist in preparing VAT returns

Support HMRC submissions

Liaise with auditors during fieldwork

Prepare schedules and documentation for annual accounts

Maintain and reconcile the Sales Ledger monthly

Skills & Experience Required

Previous finance or accounts experience

AAT qualification (or equivalent)

Strong attention to detail

Confident using Excel

Experience with accounting software
