The CFO Practice is recruiting a commercially focused Finance Director for a high-growth consumer electronics business undergoing a significant transformation.With current revenues of £30m, the company is entering its next stage of development, with a clear focus on expanding revenues, strengthening commercial capability and building the operational foundations required to support long-term growth. Partnering closely with the Managing Director, the Finance Director will be an integral member of the leadership team, playing a central role in shaping and delivering the business’s growth strategy over the coming years.The roleThis is a broad, high-impact Finance Director role combining hands-on financial leadership, commercial business partnering and operational support within a multi-channel, product-led environment.The successful candidate will act as a key partner to the Managing Director, helping to drive performance across both established and developing sales channels, while ensuring the finance function is robust, scalable and aligned to the needs of a growing business.Key responsibilitiesAct as a strategic and commercial partner to the Managing Director, supporting the growth and development of the businessProvide financial leadership across the organisation, ensuring strong control, reporting, planning and performance managementBuild and enhance financial processes, improving the quality of insight to support commercial and operational decision-makingPartner closely with sales leadership across multiple channels, supporting both existing revenue streams and the development of new channelsDrive improved visibility across margins, channel performance, working capital and operational efficiencyAct as a visible leader within the business and a trusted deputy to the Managing DirectorLead and develop the finance team while maintaining a hands-on approach where requiredSupport key external relationships with customers, suppliers and other commercial stakeholdersAbout youThis role will suit a commercially minded and operationally strong finance leader who enjoys working closely with a Managing Director and broader leadership team in a hands-on SME environment.You are likely to bring:A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)A strong hands-on finance leadership background within a product-led, consumer, retail, distribution or manufacturing environmentExperience operating in multi-channel businesses, ideally across a range of sales channelsStrong business partnering capability, with the ability to influence both operational and commercial stakeholdersExperience working within a growing or evolving business environment, where building processes and supporting scale is keyThe credibility and communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externallyA visible, proactive and grounded leadership style, with the ability to operate as a true number two to a Managing Director #J-18808-Ljbffr
