We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team here at St Ermins Hotel. This is a part-time position with a 6-month fixed-term contract , working any 3 days per week, Pro-rated salary of £36,000.00 for a 24-hour work week.

As an Finance Manager, you will carry out any reasonable request made by management.
What will you be doing?
Manage the Accounts team to ensure all daily tasks are completed correctly.
In conjunction with the P&D department review all the necessary paperwork for the production of monthly payroll reports & payslips and post the monthly payroll journal to the accounting system. Maintain records for annual submissions to HMRC.
Authorises Daily income audit, Officer Checks, Float Counts, Timesheets, Opera transactions where necessary etc.
Daily reconciliation of Bank Account, including posting of appropriate journal entries.
Carry out a monthly review of the sales ledger ensuring that all debts over 60 days have been verified and report and collection issues immediately to the DOF.
Review revenues and expenses on a monthly basis highlighting current trends - comparative analysis where necessary.
Assist the Director of Finance to prepare and record Journals for month-end closing. Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations for review.
Prepare quarterly VAT & monthly PAYE returns & submit them to HMRC
Weekly online payment of suppliers
Monthly reconciliation of petty cash & paid out transactions
Prepare daily flash revenue report and distribute internally.
Represent account and stores department on the Health & Safety committee.
Assist with annual external audit
