An excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager to lead and mentor a small finance team while overseeing day-to-day accounts operations. This role combines hands-on financial management with the chance to develop junior staff, drive process improvements while working in a friendly flat structured environment.
Key Responsibilities Manage AP/AR functions and oversee payment runs. Supervise two junior finance staff. Ensure VAT compliance, including CIS and reverse charge. Perform bank reconciliations and support payroll processing. Handle scheduled payments (VAT, PAYE, corporation tax). Assist with month-end close and external audits. Maintain accurate financial records and improve processes. Requirements Experience in a similar role within construction (highly desirable). Strong VAT/CIS knowledge and team leadership experience. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero). AAT qualified minimum or working towards a relevant qualification.
