Your new companyRetail business based in BristolYour new role A hands-on Finance Manager role in a growing, product-led SME where you'll lead a small team, stay close to the numbers, and keep the operational finance engine running smoothly.This is a practical, detail-focused position: you'll own the day-to-day finance function, oversee core processes, and ensure the business has accurate, timely and reliable financial information to support decision-making.You'll work closely with the Operations team and Finance leadership, providing strong financial oversight across a stock-led production environment.What you'll doMonth-end delivery - run a clean, consistent close and produce accurate management accountsAP/AR oversight - ensure banking, reconciliations and transactional processes are completed on timeTeam leadership - manage and support a small finance team (approx. 3 people)Financial controls - maintain strong processes, audit trails and complianceDebtor management - oversee payment runs and credit controlVAT & compliance - ensure returns are accurate and submitted on scheduleReporting & insight - produce structured reporting, highlighting risks, variances and trendsPayroll coordination - oversee payroll processes with external partnersData accuracy - keep financial information consistent across systemsStock & cost accounting - oversee costing, stock reconciliations and COGS accuracyStock alignment - support stocktakes and ensure physical vs financial stock matchesWhat you'll need to succeed Experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant or similarStrong hands-on experience across month-end, reporting, AP/AR and reconciliationsExperience managing or overseeing a transactional finance teamConfident working with ERP systems Background in a stock-led, manufacturing or product-based SMEHighly organised, detail-focused and reliableClear communicator who works well across teamsAAT qualified, or CIMA/ACCA qualified/part-qualifiedWhat you'll get in return Flexible working options available.25 days holidayAdditional parental and sick payFree on-site parkingCycle to Work schemePaid volunteer daysEmployee wellbeing supportWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
