Finance Systems ERP Tech Lead London - Global Banking Group Inside IR35 Contract - £681.03pd Initial 12 Months + Extensions Expected You’ll be the senior ERP Technology Lead on a flagship EMEA reorganisation programme. Working with Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud (and wider finance systems), you’ll shape how two legal entities are merged under a new European banking parent and how consolidated financials are produced across the region. What you’ll be doing
Lead the ERP/finance-technology workstream within a major M&A programme, focusing on Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud configuration, ledger/COA structure and consolidation points. Own end‑to‑end ERP change delivery for the merger: inbound and outbound data flows, GL/subledger impacts, reporting, data migration and "Day One/Day Two" cutover planning. Manage a mixed team of c.5 direct reports (offshore SI developers/configurators) plus 3‑4 BAs, collaborating with Finance stakeholders across London and Amsterdam. Act as the key bridge between Finance and Technology, translating month‑end, P&L, balance‑sheet and consolidation requirements into ERP and integration solutions, and presenting options at architecture/governance forums. Proactively resolve technical, system and project issues across a complex, multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment, keeping delivery on track against aggressive timelines.
What you’ll need
Strong track record delivering ERP/finance‑systems change in large financial‑services or banking environments. Deep experience with at least one major ERP/GL platform – Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud strongly preferred, but SAP or Workday also considered if ERP and M&A implementation experience are strong. Proven implementation and project life cycle (PDLC/SDLC) experience, ideally including legal‑entity merger or M&A projects (cutover, data migration, entity mapping, reconciliations, controls). Solid understanding of how GLs and subledgers support month‑end, P&L, balance sheet and consolidated reporting, and what changes when entities are merged. Technical appreciation rather than hands‑on coding: comfortable discussing SQL, ETL, XML, Middleware/integration patterns and data‑warehouse/reporting flows with developers and challenging solutions. Experience leading small, mixed onshore/offshore teams and working with senior Finance, Technology and vendor stakeholders in a global setting. Desirables: direct Oracle Fusion Financials experience; prior work on multi‑entity, multi‑GAAP, multi‑currency environments; previous M&A/legal‑entity consolidation programmes.
