Are you skilled Financial Accountant looking for your next role? We are working with a recognisable local business in their hunt for a financial Accountant to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the companys fixed asset register, including ongoing maintenance and reporting
Prepare and post month-end journal entries, covering accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
Coordinate and submit PSA and P11D documentation, ensuring accurate data collection
Monitor and report on Simply Health schemes
Carry out balance sheet reconciliations across various accounts, including purchase and sales ledgers, payroll-related accounts, and other debtor/creditor balances
Support the introduction and application of updated accounting standards (e.g. lease accounting changes)
Take a key role in the preparation of year-end financial statements and respond to audit requests
Complete statutory submissions such as Office for National Statistics returns
Prepare and submit annual CT61 documentation
Produce the yearly Gender Pay Gap report
Perform equipment and asset reconciliations
Assist with year-end inventory counts
Contribute to audit processes at year-end
Analyse financial data and produce management reports
Supervise the Purchase Ledger Administrator and two Assistant Accountants, including coordinating team cover when required
Undertake additional duties on an ad hoc basis as needed
