We're helping a long-established global engineering business hire a Financial Controller for its Northern Europe Service Centre. You'll own the finances for the UK and internationally. You'll be running the numbers and helping the business understand them. You'll work closely with GMs, challenge decisions when needed, and improve how things are done without fighting politics or egos, finance is respected. What you'll actually do

Own financial control for the UK & internationally Lead month-end, forecasting, budgeting, and audits Ensure IFRS / local GAAP compliance Provide clear, commercial insight to senior leaders Develop a strong, capable finance team Improve processes where they need improving

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Experience in multi-entity or international environments Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions Commercial, grounded, and able to influence without noise This suits someone who wants to be the finance lead, not just the "numbers person."
