We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our client's organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring the organisation's financial health and integrity. Working closely with the owner is a key part of this role as well as heading up the finance function.DutiesPrepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and forecasts with accuracy and timelinessOversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or XeroManage budgeting processes, monitor expenditure, and implement cost control measuresEnsure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standardsMaintain and improve internal controls to safeguard organisational assetsCoordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to facilitate smooth audit processesSupervise the finance team, providing guidance and professional development opportunitiesImplement efficient financial management practices across departmentsReview and approve financial transactions, reports, and documentationExperienceProven experience in a senior financial management role, ideally as a Financial Controller or equivalentKnowledge of accounting softwareStrong understanding of financial management principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirementsExperience managing accounts payable functions and preparing detailed financial reportsDemonstrated ability to lead a finance team effectively in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectivelyRelevant professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are desirable but not essentialThis role is ideal for a dedicated finance professional looking to utilise their expertise in a dynamic organisation committed to excellence in financial management.We look forward to receiving your CV in the first instance!JBRP1_UKTJ
