We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to manage the financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial management, accounting software, and regulatory compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic financial management and ensure the organisations fiscal health. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards.ResponsibilitiesUndertake all bookkeeping to reconciled trial balance levelProcess the sales and purchase ledgers, with associated credit controlProcess Payroll including HMRC filings managementLiaison with the auto enrolment provider and management of all monthly documentationPreparation and submission of quarterly VAT returnPreparation and submission monthly CIS ReturnsTimely processing of applications and invoices and domestic reverse chargeProvide monthly management accounts to the Directors to include a pack of KPIsTake on ad hoc financial tasks as required such as provide information to funders and bankers as needed.Liaise with accountants to provide a reconciled year end pack on a timely basisRequirementsProven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.Strong proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant systems.Experience in financial management principles and practices.Demonstrable experience in managing accounts payable processes and overall financial reporting.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA are preferred but not essential.Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment.
