A high-growth organisation in Liverpool city centre is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller - ideal for a 2nd mover from Audit looking to fast-track their career in a dynamic, scaling environment. This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad, commercially focused leadership role with clear progression and significant exposure to senior stakeholders.
The Role
As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the finance function and play a pivotal part in building a robust financial framework that supports rapid expansion. Key responsibilities include:
Full preparation of management accounts, including consolidation across ~20 legal entities
Introducing and embedding a structured month-end close process
Ownership and ongoing development of the finance system
Leading on the annual audit and coordinating tax return preparation
Producing weekly flash reporting for senior leadership
Managing currency hedging activities
Driving automation of finance processes and efficiency improvements
Business partnering with project teams, providing insight and cost control for projects under construction
Overseeing loan facility covenant reporting
Managing VAT and CIS compliance requirements
Supporting the CFO with budgets, quarterly reforecasts, 5-year plans, and investor reporting packs
Delivering high-quality ad-hoc analysis as required
About You
This role is perfect for a newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) coming straight from audit who wants to broaden their exposure across both financial and commercial disciplines.
