Financial Controller A fast-growing and innovative organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its leadership team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a hands-on role leading a small finance team and supporting the business through its next phase of growth. The successful candidate will take responsibility for financial planning, reporting, and analysis while partnering with colleagues across the organisation to support strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include preparing and analysing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts; delivering sales and margin analysis including standard costing; ensuring VAT compliance and supporting R&D tax credit submissions; managing cashflow and overseeing transactional finance activities; and maintaining robust financial controls and regulatory compliance. The role will also involve developing financial systems and processes to improve reporting, track key performance metrics, and support operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with several years’ post qualification experience in an SME, ideally within a manufacturing or product-based environment. You will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a commercial mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across the business in a fast-paced growth environment. Strong communication skills, excellent financial reporting capability, and experience with standard costing and operational finance will be key to success in this role. xehkeey This role is hybrid with a requirement to be office based 2-3 days per week.
