Finance Director – High‑Growth Financial Services Firm Marks Sattin is supporting a rapidly scaling Financial Services firm in the search for a Finance Director. This senior role is responsible for ensuring high‑quality financial reporting, strong governance and readiness for major corporate activity. The position blends strategic leadership with hands‑on oversight across reporting, audit, treasury and controls, playing a critical role in supporting the firm’s continued growth and regulatory responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Operate as a senior finance leader, driving clear ownership, accountability and high‑quality decision support across the organisation. Lead and align the Internal Reporting, External Reporting and Treasury functions to ensure cohesive delivery and strong financial governance. Uphold robust control frameworks and disciplined execution across all finance processes. Lead finance workstreams for capital raises, M&A activity and potential IPO preparation Strengthen financial controls, documentation standards and audit preparedness to meet public‑market expectations. Oversee monthly management accounts, MI packs and Board reporting, ensuring accuracy, clarity and insight. Lead statutory reporting and annual accounts processes, ensuring high‑quality external disclosures. Manage relationships with external auditors and provide authoritative technical accounting guidance under IFRS. Provide senior oversight of liquidity, capital management and treasury governance, ensuring alignment with regulatory and strategic priorities. Support optimisation of funding structures and balance sheet efficiency. Champion improvements to finance systems and data
Candidate Profile
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA or equivalent). Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS essential). Significant senior finance leadership or controllership experience. Background in Financial Services or regulated environments preferred. Experience with corporate transactions (M&A, fundraising, IPO readiness). Skilled in influencing senior stakeholders and operating at Board level. Comfortable in a fast‑paced, scaling environment.
