Financial Services Audit Senior / Supervisor Johnston Carmichael Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers We are looking for an Audit Senior/Supervisor to join our Financial Services Audit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day work across a portfolio of investment trusts, VCTs, investment/wealth managers and other corporate entities within the financial services space. The role includes developing the team, managing audit work and ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Responsibilities

Complete or oversee audit planning documentation Arrange timing of audit work with the audit manager and plan, schedule, and delegate work to audit assistants Brief, train and debrief audit assistants, providing formal feedback Liaise with client staff and build effective relationships Monitor budget versus actual time and flag scope issues to the audit manager Keep client staff informed of progress and issues while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

Qualified CA (or equivalent); part‑qualified candidates considered subject to experience Strong relationship‑building skills with clients, contacts and colleagues Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to work Relevant experience in a similar role preferred Excellent communication skills and ability to positively influence others Leadership of own work and professional learning
