Fire Alarm & Life Safety Service Engineer – Southwark (Contract)

Location: Southwark, London

Rate: £265 – £275 per day (Outside IR35) Contract: 10-month initial contract (potential extension to February) Start: ASAP Payment: Weekly pay every Friday

The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Life Safety Service Engineer to work across the Southwark area on a large council contract. This role involves servicing and maintaining fire and life safety systems across multiple sites within the borough.The position is part of a busy programme of PPM servicing and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on first-time fixes.

Benefits Outside IR35 Weekly pay every Friday Overtime paid at time and a half 10-month contract with potential extension Consistent workload on a long-term council contract Key Details Working hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm Potential requirement for out-of-hours reactive works (paid at time and a half) All work located within Southwark Responsibilities Service and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems Carry out PPM servicing Diagnose and repair faults Complete job reports via Synch Pro system Ensure first-time fix where possible Manage small parts stock where required Requirements Experience servicing fire alarm and life safety systems DBS check (required or willing to obtain) Own vehicle (car or van) Own tools Ability to manage service schedules and reactive jobs Strong fault-finding skills
