Fire Alarm Project Manager
Location: London Salary: £56,000 - £66,000 basic DOE + £5,000 Car Allowance Working Hours: 36.5 hours per week Industry: Fire Protection / Fire & Security
ABOUT
A well-established and highly respected fire protection and security business is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to join its growing projects team.
The company delivers complex fire detection and life safety solutions across a range of commercial and industrial environments. This role will focus on the successful delivery of high-value fire alarm projects (£3m–£6m), ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and fully compliant with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities as a Fire Alarm Project Manager
Manage fire alarm projects from design through to completion
Develop and control detailed project plans, programmes, and budgets
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
Coordinate contractors, engineers, designers, and internal teams
Review fire alarm designs and specifications for compliance
Oversee installation quality, testing, commissioning, and handover
Manage system integration with HVAC, security, and BMS systems
Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer requirements
Maintain accurate project documentation, including:
o As-built drawings
o Test and commissioning reports
o Compliance and certification paperwork
Requirements as a Fire Alarm Project Manager
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar ()
Proven experience managing fire protection projects up to £6m
Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems
Experience with Public Address (PA) and Disabled Refuge systems (essential)
Good understanding of fire safety legislation and building regulations
Familiarity with fire alarm manufacturers and system technologies
Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2) desirable
Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
