Fire Alarm Service Engineer

Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a growing fire protection contractor working across the critical infrastructure sector.

This is a field-based role covering planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, servicing, and minor remedial works on a variety of fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Service, maintain, and fault-find fire alarm systems on client sites

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with industry standards

* Diagnose and repair system faults efficiently and effectively

* Complete detailed service reports and compliance documentation

* Provide technical support and advice to clients where required

* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant fire safety regulations and standards

* Liaise with helpdesk, supervisors, and project teams to ensure smooth service delivery

* Participate in an on-call rota (if required)

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer

* Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems (e.g. Gent, Advanced, Notifier, Kentec, etc.)

* Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills

* Understanding of BS5839 standards

* Full UK driving licence

* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Desirable:

* FIA or equivalent fire alarm qualifications

* Experience across multiple manufacturer systems

* Background in commercial or multi-site service contracts
