I'm exclusively recruiting on behalf of a well-established fire and security company based in Glasgow. This is a key hire and an exciting opportunity to become the company's first ever Business Development Manager, taking ownership of their commercial growth and shaping the future of their sales function.
Location: Glasgow Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 basic + company car + uncapped commission (2.5%-3.5%) OTE: Circa £75,000
About the Role: This is not just another sales role. As the first BDM hire, you'll play a strategic and hands-on role in scaling the commercial side of the business. You'll be targeting new clients, developing long-term relationships, and ultimately helping the company achieve its ambitious growth goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to grow the commercial client base
Win new business with annual targets of £750k-£1M in sales revenue
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing
Build strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
Work closely with operations and service teams to ensure delivery excellence
Provide insightful sales reports and forecasts to senior management
