Job Description

Our services are designed to ensure regulatory compliance, exceptional service, and prompt response times.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for attending service requests from our valued clients.
Your role will involve servicing and maintaining addressable and non-addressable fire systems, DDA systems, and security systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Service and maintain fire alarm systems, security alarms, emergency lighting systems, and DDA compliant systems.\n\n * Complete and compile maintenance engineer reports and site survey reports.\n\n * Respond to fault calls for fire alarm systems and security alarm systems.\n\n * Maintain professional and clear customer contact, ensuring timely and accurate responses to all inquiries.\n\n * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while upholding Photuris' positive reputation.\n\n * Participate in the on-call rota, weekend work, and overtime as required by the company.\n\nRequirements\n\n * Proven experience in the Fire & Security industry.\n\n * Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to resolve issues logically and efficiently.\n\n * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and complete necessary documentation.\n\n * Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and drawings.\n\n * Initiative-driven with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills.\n\n * Educate clients on available system alternatives and solutions when applicable.\n\nNice to have (not essential)\n\n * EAL BS5839 - Level 3 or FIA 1/2/3/6\n\n * BAFE – Fire Extinguishers\n\n * 18th Edition/Electrical knowledge\n\n * Experience of working with leading manufacturers – Kentec, CTEC, Hochiki, Apollo, Xtralis, Ziton and Gent\n\nFurther Information\n\n * Must hold a full UK Driving Licence\n\n * Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday.\n\n * Location: London and surrounding areas, with flexibility to travel throughout the UK as required.
