This Fire Engineer opportunity offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, combining technical fire engineering with project management responsibilities.

The Fire Engineer will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions while developing both technical and commercial expertise.

The Fire Engineer's Role

The Fire Engineer will take ownership of key aspects of project delivery, supporting both the technical and administrative elements of fire engineering projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the Fire Engineer will gain valuable exposure to design coordination, client interaction, and project management.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the delivery of fire engineering projects from inception through to completion
Preparing technical reports, calculations, and fire engineering documentation
Assisting in project setup, including administrative and financial coordination
Attending design team meetings, workshops, and client engagements
Contributing to technical discussions and decision-making processes
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across various project stages
Supporting and mentoring graduate engineers through knowledge sharing
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and best practiceThe Fire Engineer

The ideal Fire Engineer will be technically capable, motivated, and keen to develop within a consultancy environment. The Fire Engineer will demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive approach to both project work and professional development.

Requirements include:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM discipline or equivalent
Experience within an engineering consultancy, ideally in fire engineering
Understanding of the UK construction industry, including RIBA stages and procurement processes
Progression towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to communicate technical information clearly in English
Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members
A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to team developmentIn Return?
