Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Location: London

A leading higher-education organisation is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join its central safety team and help deliver best-in-class fire safety management across a large, complex estate.

The Role

You will act as a key technical authority for fire safety, providing expert advice and oversight across a diverse portfolio of academic, residential and public-facing buildings.

Your responsibilities will include:

Undertaking, reviewing and managing Fire Risk Assessments (PAS 79)
Providing technical and legislative fire safety advice to senior stakeholders
Supporting new builds, refurbishments and events from a fire safety perspective
Delivering fire safety audits, inspections and emergency planning
Facilitating fire drills, incident investigations and training
Helping to embed a positive fire safety culture across the organisationRequirements

Essential:

Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification with 2+ years' experience or NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate with 3+ years' operational experience,
Strong working knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance
Experience delivering PAS 79 Fire Risk Assessments
Experience providing fire safety training and technical advice
Ability to interpret drawings, plans and building layouts
Good IT skills (Microsoft 365 / cloud systems)Desirable:

Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification
