Fire & Security Engineer Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services Responsibilities

Ensure effective delivery of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), reactive calls, and small works for Fire & Security Systems. Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and related equipment to relevant legislative and qualitative standards. Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner. Participate in company‑initiated training to keep up‑to‑date technical knowledge. Work under Health and Safety requirements and contribute to Accident Reporting and RAMS as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar Fire & Security Systems role, handling PPM, reactive calls, and small works. Knowledge of service test and inspection standards/codes, including fault‑finding techniques. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with little supervision. Commitment to Health and Safety legislation and High‑Risk Work standards.
