Job Title: Fire & Security Service Installation EngineerLocation: GlasgowJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent 39 hoursSchedule: Monday to Friday (plus call-out rota as required)Job PurposeWe are looking for a skilled and reliable Fire & Security Service Installation Engineer to join our growing Fire & Security Service team. In this role, you will primarily carry out Small Works installations in line with our existing client base within our Fire and Security Division. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, safety, and system reliability across customer sites.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation of additional equipment to existing F&S systems and full system installations through lifecycle upgrades and system replacementsEnsure compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and company procedures.Complete detailed and accurate job documentation, reports, and asset records.Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for specialist system support and installations.Support and liaise with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Take part in an on-call rota for emergency response, as required.Carry out routine PPM in line with scheduled tasks and industry standards.Respond effectively to reactive maintenance calls, breakdowns, and emergency situations.Perform fault diagnosis and repairs on a range of Fire Alarm, CCTV (IP & Analogue), Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.Identify opportunities for system upgrades, replacements, or improvements.Assist other trade teams on-site when required.Work proactively to support continuous service improvement and contract growth.Working RelationshipsInternalEngineering CoordinatorsService ManagersExternalClients and client representativesSubcontractors, suppliers, and system manufacturersQualifications & ExperienceRecognised Fire & Security Apprenticeship or equivalent experienceStrong experience in one or more of the following main F+S disciplines:IP and Analogue CCTV systemsIntruder Alarm systemsAccess Control SystemsMinimum of Nat 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and EnglishKnowledge of current Fire & Security standards.Industry experience in installation of Fire & Security systemsIndustry experience in service, fault finding, and maintenance of Fire & Security systemsExperience with IT and networking related to security systemsHealth & Safety training (e.g. Manual Handling, Working at Height)Current ECS cardIPAF trainedSupervisory experience (or ambition for future progression)Teamwork: Works collaboratively to achieve shared goalsCommunication: Clear, professional, and effective with all stakeholdersPlanning & Organisation: Manages time, tasks, and priorities efficientlyCommercial Awareness: Understands the impact of costs and efficienciesRisk Awareness: Identifies and mitigates operational risksCustomer Focus: Delivers excellent service and builds positive relationshipsAdaptability: Responds positively to change and challengeSelf-Motivation: Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approachDrive for Excellence: Committed to continuous improvement and qualityHealth & SafetyAll staff are required to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others, and to comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures.Competitive salary awarded via engineers grading system with progression pathway through company training.Private Health CareLife InsuranceOn call payment door to door with additional stand by allowanceTravel time paid each way beyond 30 minutesDiversity, Equity & Inclusion at DalkiaAt Dalkia, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
