I am recruiting for a Fire & Security Engineer position that would suit candidates leaving the Royal Navy, British Army, or Royal Air Force. This is an excellent opportunity to transition into the fire and security industry, with full training provided. Ideally you will be based in and around Durham, Chester Le Street or Gateshead, as you will be travelling to client sites in the Northeast and Yorkshire regions.

Fire Safety and Security Service Engineer Responsibilities: Carry out maintenance and fault finding on fire and security systems Learn to service fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, access control, and intruder systems Assist with installations and system upgrades Conduct routine inspections and testing Ensure systems are compliant and fully operational Complete basic reports and documentation Fire Safety and Security Service Engineer Requirements:: Hands-on experience in fault finding, maintenance, and repair Strong understanding of electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems Ability to diagnose faults using a logical, methodical approach Experience working to technical procedures and safety standards Level 3 engineering qualification 18th Edition desirable Full, clean UK driving licence Willingness to retrain into fire and security systems Fire Safety and Security Service Engineer Benefits: Starting salary - £35,000 Full training provided. xehkeey Company vehicle, fuel card, tools, laptop, and uniform 37.5-hour week (MondayFriday) 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) NOTE Our client encourages applications from candidates from both commercial or ex-military backgrounds including Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force engineers with a mechanical, electrical or electronics bias.
