We are currently recruiting for a Fixed Plant Operative to work across sites in the Newton Abbot area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced or trainee Fixed Plant Operative looking for long-term, ongoing work with full training provided.
This Fixed Plant Operative role offers consistent hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work within a busy and supportive site environment. The successful Fixed Plant Operative will be responsible for operating and monitoring plant equipment while ensuring site operations run efficiently and safely, working within a quarry-based environment.
Pay Rate: £24 per hour
Location: Newton Abbot, Devon
Job Type: Ongoing / Long-term
Key Responsibilities:
Operating and monitoring fixed plant machinery
Carrying out daily plant checks and basic maintenance
Reporting faults and ensuring equipment is safe to use
Supporting general site duties including cleaning, loading, and material handling
Following all health, safety, and environmental regulations
Working alongside site teams to maintain productivity
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Fixed Plant Operative role is beneficial but not essential
Full training provided for the right candidate
Full UK driving licence and own transport is essential (site not accessible by public transport)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, flexible, and hardworking attitude
Full PPE required
No CSCS card required
