We are working on behalf of a well-established and highly respected specialist contractor within the roofing, cladding, and façade sector. Due to a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Flat Roofing Estimator to join their growing commercial team.

This is a priority hire, and the business is ready to move quickly for the right candidate.

As a Flat Roofing Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a wide range of projects (typically £50k – £4m+). You'll be working in a hands-on environment across live tenders and collaborating closely with internal teams and clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed tenders and performing accurate take-offs from construction drawings
• Reviewing drawings and specifications to produce cost plans and pricing schedules
• Calculating labour, materials, and preliminaries
• Producing marked-up drawings using Bluebeam
• Managing tender submissions, queries, and RFIs
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Attending site visits and client meetings where required
• Supporting project handovers to delivery teams
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

We're looking for a mid-level estimator with relevant industry experience who is confident working across multiple live projects.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in flat roofing estimation
• Strong knowledge of systems such as:
  • Single ply warm roofs
  • Inverted hot melt systems (ballasted, paved, green/blue roofs)
  • Built-up felt systems
  • Cold applied liquid systems
• Familiarity with leading manufacturers (e.g. Bauder, Radmat, IKO, Kemper)
• Understanding of U-values, fire barriers, and non-combustible cladding solutions
• Strong Excel skills and experience using estimating software (Bluebeam advantageous)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach

• Full-time office-based role (8:00am – 5:00pm) in Waltham Abbey
• Must be able to drive due to location

• Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience
