Fleet Hub/Mobile and External Work Controller

As part of the team working as a Fleet Hub/Mobile and External Work Controller, you can make a real difference by supporting the provision of the Fleet team to our officers and staff.
Within this role you will be responsible for overseeing all workshop operation, including maintenance, repair, and warranty repair allocation. You will ensure that all technical and quality standards are met while maintaining high levels of efficiency and productivity. The Hub Controller acts as a vital link between the fleet department and the divisional officers / users.
Please note that this Police Scotland Workshop is currently experiencing high volumes of activity as we continue to support our frontline. Prior experience of handling high and demanding workloads would be advantageous.
Key responsibilities:
* Workshop Efficiency: Monitor and manage workshop loading, job flow and staff productivity and maximise output.
* Resource Allocation: Manage workshop tools, equipment, and facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety, and environmental regulations.
* Quality Control: Ensure all work is carried out to manufactures specification and to the highest quality standards, maintaining a low rate of comebacks.
* Service Schedule Managing: manage the set monthly service schedule, notifying users of schedule and notifying for collection as efficiently as possible.
* External relationships: Manage and build relationships with dealer network for warranty repairs, ensuring an efficient and accurate use of any manufacturer’s warranty is utilised.
* Culture: Foster a positive, professional, and results-driven work environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.

* Leadership: Demonstrate ability to lead, motivate, and manage a large team effectively.
* Customer Focus: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a dedication to achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
* Organisational Skills: Excellent planning, time management, and organisational abilities to manage complex operational logistics.
* IT Proficiency: Competence is using computer systems, and email systems.
This is a full time and permanent role, offering 35 hours per week (Monday-Friday (Apply online only)) and will be fully workshop based.
A driving licence is desirable for this role.
