This Fleet Vehicle Technician position is ideal for a dedicated professional with a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repairs. The Fleet Vehicle Technician will be responsible for maintaining a diverse fleet, including light vans, tractor units, trailers, and an increasing number of electric and hybrid vehicles, ensuring safety, performance, and compliance.

Starting salary up to £38,355 per annum, with overtime paid at time and a half

Servicing vehicles through routine checks and maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines
Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components as a Fleet Vehicle Technician
Conducting vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards
Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting using diagnostic tools
Working on electric and hybrid vehicle systems, including medical equipment, with full training provided
Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations in the workshop
Supporting team operations with strong communication and organisational skillsRequirements:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in light or heavy vehicle maintenance
Relevant workshop experience covering all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing
A UK driving licence with minimal points; a C1 7.5 tonne licence is advantageous but not essential
Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Abingdon
Good understanding of workshop health and safety procedures
Organised and methodical, capable of working under deadlines
Excellent communicator and team player
