Job Description
We’re recruiting for a talented Flood Risk Consultant who can deliver a high-quality service & has ability to think outside the box. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions to the various technical and environmental challenges land development can present.\n\nOur client is a medium sized consultancy with around 150 employees across multiple offices. Their expertise lies within expertise planning, to design, to environmental consultancy advice, transport and infrastructure and finally land and property.\n\nYou will be working closely with the local and regional teams within the company producing and advising on flood risk and drainage strategies to accompany planning applications in all major sectors.\n\nWhat’s on offer\n\nAgile working offering a flexible and hybrid working policy\n\t\nContinued support with training and development, professional qualifications and CPD\n\t\nPrivate healthcare\n\t\nProfessional subscription fees\n\t\n2 Charity Day per annum\n\t\nCycle to Work Scheme\n\t\nElectric Vehicle Scheme\n\t\nFree High Street membership discount\n\nWhat you need to succeed\n\nA degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering subject plus minimum 2+ years relevant post-graduate experience.\n\t\nExperience and a specific interest in flood risk assessments and sustainable drainage strategy.\n\t\nConsultancy/private sector development background with a bias towards private sector development work.\n\t\nKnowledge of applicable UK policy and guidance such as Planning Policy Framework, Planning Practice Guidance, TAN15, CIRIA SuDS Manual etc.\n\t\nKnowledge of the UK planning process for new developments, energy and regeneration projects.\n\t\nNumerate and software literate.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Knowledge of GIS and drainage modelling software such as MicroDrainage or similar would be desirable.\n\t\nEffective organisational and communication skills with a collaborative approach and enjoys responsibility.\n\t\nIdeally a full driving licence and access to a car
