Are you a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer looking to step away from rigid corporate structures and into a consultancy where your technical input genuinely shapes projects? The workload spans developments from small infill sites through to major residential schemes of up to 10,000 homes, supporting both public and private sector clients wherever their projects are located.\n\nThe role\n\nAs a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will take ownership of technical delivery across planning and design stages.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n* Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies\n * Designing SuDS and surface and foul water drainage systems\n * Ensuring compliance with planning policy and technical standards\n * Liaising with clients, architects, local authorities and statutory bodies\n * Producing technical reports and supporting planning submissions\n * Using software such as Causeway Flow, AutoCAD, Civils 3D and GIS\n * Mentoring junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge\n\nAbout you\n\nThis role suits a capable Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer ready to progress.\n\nYou will ideally have:\n\n* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline\n * At least 3 years' UK experience in flood risk and drainage engineering\n * Strong knowledge of NPPF, PPG and the SuDS Manual\n * Experience with drainage modelling and technical reporting\n * A practical, solution-focused approach\n\nEligibility to Apply\n\nApplicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
