Role Overview
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a talented FM Engineering Manager to join our team and oversee operations at prestigious, high-end commercial sites. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with a passion for facilities management, engineering excellence, and client satisfaction. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering world-class services, optimising building performance, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage engineering teams across multiple high-end commercial properties, fostering a culture of professionalism, innovation, and teamwork.
Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance works are carried out efficiently, safely, and to industry-leading standards.
Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices in facilities management, sustainability, and asset optimisation.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and exceed expectations in service delivery.
Monitor and report on site performance, compliance, and risk management, conducting regular audits and inspections.
Manage budgets, resources, and contracts, securing value for money while maintaining high quality and reliability.
Champion health and safety, ensuring all activities are compliant with statutory and CBRE GWS requirements.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings, and innovation across all engineering operations.
Support mobilisation of new contracts and integration of advanced technologies to enhance site performance.
Provide mentoring and professional development for engineering staff, nurturing talent and supporting career progression.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience in facilities management and engineering leadership within high-end commercial environments.
Strong technical knowledge of building systems, M&E services, and maintenance best practices.
Excellent communication, client relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple sites and teams, prioritising workloads and delivering results under pressure.
Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services) and professional memberships .
Demonstrable track record of driving operational improvements and delivering client-focused solutions.
Commitment to health and safety, sustainability, and continuous professional development.
Innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented approach, with attention to detail and strategic thinking.
