There are numerous outlets run by the hospitality department offering a wide range of food and drink options. We are currently seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant who can be flexible to work a variety of shifts (including weekday lunchtimes, evenings and weekends).

This permanent post is with West Hospitality’s Food Direct team.

In this varied and active role, you will help deliver catering for meetings and events across the University.

You will also support the operation of a small café.

If you enjoy being on the move, providing great service and working with people, this is an excellent opportunity. What you’ll be doingDelivering catering to meetings and events across campusAssisting with food and drink service at events across campusAssisting with the day‑to‑day running of a small caféTaking customer orders and serving food and drinkOperating tills and handling paymentsStocking food stations and replenishing suppliesMaintaining high standards of cleanliness, including clearing tables and keeping catering areas tidyTraining and uniforms are provided, and there are opportunities for development and progression within the department.Full details of the role can be found in the job description.Working pattern for the roleAll shifts are straight shifts—there are no split shifts.

The role includes five 5-hour shifts, which vary according to the business needs, so we are seeking applicants who can be flexible.

Shifts include early morning, lunch periods and evenings both Monday-Friday and at the weekend, on a 5 out of 7 days rota.
