Job description: Production Operative * Durham Area * £12.21 per hour * Monday – Thursday | 06:00 – 15:00 // Friday | 06:30 – 15:30 We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established food manufacturing operation based in the Durham area. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role working within a fast-paced production environment. You will be working across multiple areas of the production process, supporting the manufacturing of food products from raw ingredient stage through to finished goods. The Role: You will be involved in various stages of the production process, including: * Weighing and preparing ingredients * Mixing batches using industrial whisks and paddles * Monitoring product consistency and quality * Manual handling of materials (regular lifting up to 25kg) * Transferring product between production areas * Assisting with small amounts of packing and labelling * Ensuring strict hygiene and food safety standards are maintained at all times * Cleaning down equipment and workstations in line with food production regulations You will rotate across different areas of the production floor depending on daily production requirements, so flexibility and a proactive attitude are essential.
