Food Production Operative

We are currently recruiting Production Operatives for a food manufacturing factory supplying the catering and food service industry.

This role involves working with chilled bacon products in a fast-paced production environment.

This is a great opportunity for reliable candidates looking for long-term, full-time work in food production.

Pay Rates:

* £12.80 per hours (Weeks 1-12)

* £13.00 per hours (After 12 weeks)

* Overtime paid at Time and a half after 45 hours

Working Hours:

* Monday to Friday 07.00 - 17.00

* Two unpaid 30-minutes breaks (usually at 10.00 and 13.00)

Additional voluntary cleaning shifts may be available after the main shift, offering a good opportunity to earn extra overtime hours.

Your Duties May Include

Work stations can very and may include:

* Unboxing and handling chilled bacon loins

* Racking and blast freezing loins

* Feeding slicing machines

* Weighing and counting products

* Packing and boxing finished goods

* Palletising finished products

This is fast-paced production line work, so candidates must be able to maintain the speed of the line.

Working Environment

* Cold / chilled factory environment

* Presence of raw meat / bacon smell

* Repetitive production work

* Role involves standing for long periods, bending, twisting and lifting

Important Workplace Rules

Due to food hygiene regulations, the following apply:

* No jewellery

* No false nails or piercings

* No perfumes or strong fragrances

* Phones and personal belongings must be left in lockers/staff room

Uniform

All PPE and uniform will be provided - protective clothing and wellington boots

Candidate Requirements:

* Minimum age : 18 years

* Reliable and punctual

* Able to work in a cold food production environment

* Comfortable performing repetitive tasks

* Physically capable of standing and manual handling throughout the shift
