We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturer based in London who are seeking an experienced Food Technologist to join their technical team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic business supplying major UK retailers and foodservice customers, with strong prospects for development.

The Food Technologist will act as a key link between the business and its retail customers, managing technical communications and ensuring products meet all required specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaising directly with UK retailers and customers to manage technical queries and provide accurate, timely responses

*

Writing and maintaining product specifications for major UK retailer portals

*

Ensuring compliance with retailer policies, UK food legislation, and customer codes of practice

*

Supporting NPD and technical teams with product launches and updates

*

Assisting with audits, documentation control, and internal technical processes

*

Working cross-functionally with production, NPD, and commercial teams

The successful Food Technologist will have:

*

2–3 years’ experience within a food manufacturing environment

*

Experience writing specifications and managing retailer portals (e.g., Tesco, Sainsbury’s, M&S, etc.)

*

Strong understanding of UK food safety legislation and retailer standards

*

Excellent communication skills with confidence liaising directly with customers

*

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

*

A full UK driving licence
