Food Technologist Location: New Mills, Derbyshire (SK22) Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum Hours: MonThurs 7:30am4:30pm | Fri 7:30am11:30am Job type: Full-time, permanent About the role We are looking for a Food Technologist to join our friendly and fast-paced food manufacturing team in New Mills. This hands-on role covers product development, food safety, quality, and process improvement within a multi-site FMCG environment. You will support projects from concept through to factory trials and scale-up, ensuring products meet food safety, quality, and legal requirements. Key responsibilities Develop new products and improve existing recipes, including reformulation projects.

Support pilot trials, factory trials, and scale-up activities.

Carry out sensory testing and product evaluation.

Maintain accurate project records and technical documentation.

Ensure compliance with food safety standards and quality systems (e.g. HACCP).

Support food law and labelling compliance, including additives and allergens.

Investigate manufacturing issues and identify process improvement opportunities.
